Computer Game Developers

These companies employ artists, motion graphic designers, programmers, software engineers, software developers, sound engineers, producers, writers, technical directors etc; who create, program, debug, test and develop the online, console and mobile games.  There are a variety of game development companies: independent, part owned or wholly owned by a publisher, distributor or hardware manufacturer.  Typically game developers are funded by a publisher to produce a game.  Sometimes developers fund the development of the game themselves or raise venture capital funding to develop their games.
